Local judges were notoriously corrupt, demanding bribes. The widow, without a husband or money, used her only weapon: public shame. She bothered the judge until he gave in to avoid being 'slapped' (Greek term hypopiazo - metaphorically, having his reputation tarnished).

2. Theological Aspect (Universal Basic)

Argument a fortiori (from least to greatest): If a bad judge responds by insistence, how much more will God (the good Father) do justice to his chosen ones quickly? Prayer does not inform God, but aligns the prayer with God's will until the answer.

3. Counterpoints and Misinterpretations

Reluctant God: Thinking that you need to 'overcome' God's reluctance through tiredness. The parable says the opposite: God wants to act, but persevering faith (v. 8) is the necessary channel on earth.
