The Problem
Have you ever heard a sermon
that did not line up with the Bible?
Many Christians feel that something is missing from the explanations they hear at church. It is not a lack of faith — it is a sincere hunger for the deeper truth of the sacred text.
Confusion in Translations
You read different Bible versions and they seem to say opposite or shallow things. Which one is right? What did the original author really mean?
Shallow Answers
When you bring difficult pain and doubts, you often get canned answers or evangelical clichés that ignore the complexity of your real problems.
Constant Dependence
You feel you always need a pastor, theologian, or commentary to understand the most fundamental parts of Scripture. Your connection becomes outsourced.
The Solution
Freedom to grow spiritually.
Memra (Aramaic for "Word") was used in the Targums to describe God's active presence. Returning to Memra means engaging with the Divine without the barrier of human doctrines.

I was an atheist for more than 20 years. When I returned to Christianity, I thought the biggest challenge would be reading the Bible again. It was not. The hardest part was understanding it.
I realized that many interpretations ignored the historical, cultural, and linguistic context of the text. So I began studying the way many people do in silence: with dozens of tabs open, researching authors, time periods, the original meaning of words, and the narrative intent of each passage.
But this turned every reading into hours of parallel research. Memra was born from that frustration: bringing Scripture, history, and technology together to make Bible study deeper, contextual, and intellectually honest.
If you want to understand the text more clearly without relying exclusively on other people's interpretations, this project was made for you.
