    This manifesto argues that every doctrine, tradition and religious structure must be judged by the life, teachings and character of Jesus.

    All theology is a human interpretation. Systems can serve faith, but none should take the place of Christ, the center and criterion of biblical reading.

    Jesus is no longer a character in the Bible

    Jesus is no longer one voice among others: he is the criterion by which the entire Bible is read, judging inherited categories in the light of Christ.

    A doctrine can quote many verses and still distort the face of God. In Christ, theology is judged by the fruit it produces.
